Feed your skin

Eating the right food will make your skin look fantastically fresh, radiant and feel more comfortable.

If you have skin problems, it is important to avoid fatty foods as well as those with additives, artificial sweeteners, colourings and chemicals. Fill up instead on plenty of foods rich in vitamins A,B,C and E in addition to potassium, zinc, magnesium, bioflavonoids, iron and calcium.

Essential fatty acids help to replenish collagen as well as moisturise and firm the skin so stock up on foods containing essential fatty acids including: oily fish, seeds, oils and nuts. Nuts, particularly hazelnuts and brazil nuts, also contain anti-inflammatory properties ensuring the skin stays smooth and blemish free.

Re-hydrate the skin
Water is needed for the healthy functioning of all our organs as well as skin cell formation. When we are dehydrated the body diverts the water available to essential organs such as the heart and liver. An adult should drink at least two litres of water per day to ensure the body and skin stay perfectly re-hydrated.
