Skin and hair changes

After the menopause, your skin tends to become thinner and drier. You may find that you are troubled by itching and more prone to bruising. These changes are all caused by an estrogen-related loss of protein (collagen) from the skin. Hair is also affected, becoming thinner and drier. Some women experience increased growth of unwanted hair, for example, on the face.
